Frequently Asked Questions

Little Loft programs welcome all children, ages 6 to 9+, who would like to play, explore and create. This includes physical and neurodiverse children. An initial visit is encouraged for all children and families to see if it is a good fit, and have an orientation to the space, myself and the program.

Are you a child therapist?

I am a licensed Early Childhood Educator and I completed a Therapeutic Arts Practitioners certification. I am qualified to provide art experiences that are therapeutic in nature, but I am not a licensed child therapist.

What does the registration process look like?

Contact me with your child’s name and age and the program you are interested in. We can connect and if it sounds like a fit, we can schedule a visit here with your child to meet me and check things out.

Once a space is confirmed, I will email you a registration package link.

Once you have gone through this intake process and your child has attended a camp or program, you will not need to fill forms for future programs.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I never want finances to deter a child from participating in my programs if families feel a session or program would be beneficial in any way. I can offer a sliding scale that suits your families circumstances and I have half or full bursary to offer for some of the summer camps. I qualify for educational funding for homeschoolers and am happy to do the paper work. Please reach out and let me know how I can support you.

What should my child bring?

Each season brings variation in what is needed for the children, but here is a general list:

Clothing that can get messy : )
A change of clothes ; )
Well fitting footwear
Snack and Lunch
Water bottle
*All in a backpack please

Outdoor play is a big part of the program here. Children should have full rain gear and boots during the damp times of the year. Except for summer time, Please pack rain pants even when it’s not raining as water, sand, mud and clay play happens in all weather!
